Reconsider This Amendment
To our Mayor and Aldermen, I hope you will reconsider this amendment; it is wrong on several levels.

One, Im not sure it is in the citys best interest to limit board appointments to citizens only.
Two, we are looking at city planning expansion and those citizens impacted by this expansion should have the opportunity to serve the city on a volunteer basis if they choose.  Besides, I dont think it is wise to exclude them from service, or prevent the city from having the choice of asking them to serve.

Third, and on a more personal level, to draft an amendment aimed specifically at forcing Sherry Eden off is incredibly short sighted and a slap in the face to a lady that has devoted many years of her life to the City of White House and specifically the library.  At a time when we are gearing up to try to raise funds to build a new library, and Sherry Eden is a motivating force in the private sector, this makes such a notion incomprehensible.

I agree completely with the Letter to the Editor in the Browser Connection (June 10, 2008) and I will be profoundly disappointed in our elected officials if they insist on ramming this through.

Respectfully,
Bob Pospisil
