Supporting the Church
I really enjoyed reading the article in your paper regarding the Christian Gospel Temple as told by a member of that church. I am actually saddened by the fact that the news media can cast doubts in peoples mind without first knowing the facts.

I am not a member of this church but have attended several services and have always been blessed. I know the majority of their members and believe they are a great group of people. They are a blessing to our great city and the entire community.

They have an outreach program for people who are homeless, in need of food or a place to live. They brought in a homeless person who was sick and had no place to go or anyone to care for him. This church got him a place to live, fed him and made sure he was comfortable. The man eventually died and the church actually looked after the expenses for his funeral. This is only one thing that I know about and am sure there are many more.

I know the pastor and his wife. I also know the trustees and am confident that they would never condone any wrong doing. I also don’t believe they are a cult. If they are, we need more of their type in our country.

As a Christian, I love and support this group. They are great people.
