Always something new
at Sonic Drive-In
By Stacy Saunders
Colorful new signs, lush landscaping and new awnings and seating are not the only things new at Sonic Drive-In in White House. From the popular summer favorite, Jr. Banana Splits, to the all new Angus burgers, Sonic’s menu is an ever changing reflection of the latest and best in quick dining. “What captures people is what’s new at Sonic,” explained Andrea Reeds, partner in the chain’s local store.

Sonic is known as the place to go for unique drinks and desserts with the ability to offer custom creations with an abundant variety of fruit, candy, traditional and unexpected flavors. Patrons can savor sweet treats ranging from the classic chocolate shake to the new fried ice cream blast and can even choose among pepper jack, smoky cheddar and American cheeses atop the restaurant’s popular burgers.

Beyond the food, Sonic’s attention to detail is remarkable with elements as simple as its signature, easy to find in the bag, red straws. The appeal continues in the drive-in’s commitment to individual attention. Parked squarely between a casual dining experience and the world of drive-throughs, Sonic combines personal, face to face service with a short wait and reasonable prices. “The quality and amount of food we offer is superior,” noted Reeds. As for the carhops? She assures customers that they will always see smiles and hear thank yous and hellos. “They’re very thankful that you’ve chosen us to have your meal,” she added.

Close to Heritage and the city’s park, Sonic has become a familiar place to enjoy an afternoon for the youth of the community, a fact Reeds has enjoyed over the fourteen years of her career in White House. “This is a great place with a heart for kids,” she expressed, and she likes knowing that parents feel safe when their kids are there.

From ice cream to coneys to cheddar peppers, Sonic is a place for everyone to enjoy. Stop by our local Sonic Drive-in at 417 Highway 76 from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday and see what’s new at Sonic.
