One year after opening T&T Sales’ doors to the public, Terry and Diana Lankford have built a steady customer base by keeping two things in focus: quality products and listening to the needs of their customers. “If we sell a product that’s a higher quality, we know we can build our business on that,” Terry noted. “We want the customer to be satisfied with the end product.”
T&T stands for trailers and tools, and this business carries a wide range of both at reasonable prices. A variety of trailers are available on the lot; however, custom orders are welcomed as well. Whether a customer needs a different width, length or type of floor than the norm, “if you want it, we’ve got it or can get it,” Terry assured. T&T Sales carries trailers of all sizes, both open and enclosed, and offers parts and accessories as well as on-site service and maintenance for them all.
Jet, Wilton and Powermatic are among the brands of quality wood and metal working tools that fill the showroom at T&T Sales. In addition to power, stationary, air and hand tools, accessories such as sandpaper, clamps, hydraulic lifts and much more are also available. As customers have voiced requests over the past year, the Lankfords have responded by adding products to the store. “One of the things we’re bringing in, at our customers’ requests, is Sait grinding products,” Terry commented.
 Another recent addition to T&T Sales is the Purina Mills line of animal foods. “We’ve gotten a lot of good feedback,” Diana expressed. The store now features a full line of equine foods, dog and cat foods, and feed for such varied animals as goats, rabbits and poultry. The positive response from customers has allowed T&T Sales to continue expanding its animal and livestock care products which will soon include horse tack and accessories and by fall, Terry anticipates, a supply of hay and straw.
After spending twenty years in White House and growing up in Middle Tennessee, the Lankfords have become increasingly active in the community. Terry now serves on the board of the White House Area Chamber of Commerce. Listening to customers, according to Terry, is the key to helping residents shop locally. “If businesses are willing to bring in the things people need, they would rather trade local in many cases,” he explained.
