Disappointed in Local Coaches
I am an assistant coach of the White House Dixie Youth 5 & 6 Rockhounds. I am writing this letter because of my disappointment in the coaching staff of another team in the 5 and 6 year old division. Our team had been at a disadvantage since day one. We were drafted 12 players, just like any other team. Before the first practice, we lost one player. Shortly after that, we lost another. So we played our season with only 10 players, while most other teams have 12. I do have to thank 3 players from other teams that played on our team when we wouldn’t have had enough players to play. We appreciated the extra help.

Thanks from the Barnes Family
We would like to thank everyone in the White House community for your prayers and support during this difficult time. When we moved to White House in 1997, we knew this is where we wanted our children to grow up. We wanted them to know the closeness of a small community. Thank you to the White House Police Department and the faculty and staff at White House High School and to H.B. Williams Elementary School faculty and staff. Thank you to the class of 2006, you will always hold a special place in our hearts. I know Tim was proud to call you his friends.
Thanks again,
Roger, Cindy and Tom Barnes
SummerFest Thank You
The White House Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all the wonderful people who contributed to the SummerFest Carnival. First and foremost, we would like to thank the community for supporting the events that we sponsor for our town. We are always pleased with the exceptional turnout at every event we host. This year’s Carnival again was a great success, and we attribute much of that success to the following people:
• Northridge Church - Pastor Dan Smith, Pastor Terry Exley and Pastor Bobby Gourly
• Captain Holman and the White House Fire Explorers
• Officer Bilbrey and the White House Police Explorers
• Captain Jeff Mingledorff and the White House Police Department
• Chief Joe Palmer, Jeremy Sisk and the White House Fire Department
• Addam McCormick and the City of White House
• David Couch with Builders Electric of Hendersonville
• Travis Akins with CEMC
• Principal Schwab with Robert F. Woodall Elementary
• Lynn Crouch
• Howell Wilson
• Drew and Mandy Christenson with The Bargain Browser
• White House Chamber Board of Directors
• Terry Lankford and Jim Bruce, Clean Up Crew
And finally, Dave Paltzik, Carnival Chairperson - Dave undertook the enormous job of relocating an established event and worked with a new group of people to make this year’s Summerfest Carnival the outstanding event that it was.
We couldn’t have done it without you! Please forgive us if we have overlooked anyone - that is always a risk you take when you list people but we felt that the effort that went into this year’s event was worth mentioning.
