Songs for the program’s initial airing were carefully chosen from Indieheaven.com, one of the most widely recognized online communities for independent Christian artists. Ten of the site’s Top 20 Radio Chart tunes were selected for the first hour which was a top ten weekly countdown. The remainder of the program was comprised of songs culled from the extensive Fan Faves chart where Saunders’ “I Will Lift Up My Voice” has been in the top twenty for nearly a week.

“Power Praise Radio is a two hour weekly syndicated radio show dedicated to independent Christian music artists, fans and those who support them. The music is inspirational, uplifting and powerful and our goal is to tell the world about this incredible music,” the new show’s website explains.

The weekly show is hosted by popular DJs Ray Gauthier and Adrian Scott, known best for their weekly eighties radio show “Back to the 80s.” The duo mix humor, music and information to weave an entertaining program for their audiences.

In addition to the show’s pre-planned line-up, Gauthier and Scott also accept email requests and dedications from listeners. As the program develops and makes its way into syndication, additional features will emerge such as artist interviews, reviews, Teen Scene (which will include music reviews by young adults) and much more.
