Beat Houston County 38-27

The Heritage girls won an important game Friday night, beating district rival Houston County 38-27 in a low scoring event and registering a 3-2 season.

Chelsea Hannah led all scores with 13 points while Jordan Cook added her touch with two 3-pointers for the game.

The Lady Patriots led 24-15 going into the half. In the second half, only 5 baskets were scored between the 2 teams while the rest of the 14 points came from the charity line, all by Hannah. She was 90% from the line for the night making 17 of 19 shots.

“While we continue to work on our outside shots, we have really been concentrating on working to the inside,” said Head Coach Carrie Cayce. “McEwen has a strong 5’10” post and we will have to try and contain her.”

The Lady Patriots host McEwen Friday night in another important district match. The game starts at 6:00 p.m.
